A historic mountain pass
This historic mountain pass, crossing from the Canton of Berne to the Canton of Valais, is situated in magnificent natural surroundings. The classic hike is between 1,900 and 2,350 metres above sea level and leads from Kandersteg Sunnbüel (gondola), via Schwarzenbach and the Gemmi pass to Leukerbad in the Valais. The hike takes approximately 2.5 -3 hours and can also be done the other way round.
